Emeritus Designations

Board Policy 1.24 – Designation of Emeritus Status allows the Board of Trustees to award this honorary designation as outlined in the appropriate Institutional Procedures. The policy can be found on page 37 of the Board Policy Manual (PDF) and the procedures follow. The criteria were designed to recognize exemplary years of service by our retired faculty, staff and administrators who exhibited professional competence, provided meritorious service, and has upheld the mission, vision, strategic objectives and core values of the College during their employment.

Individuals were nominated by colleagues or students and all submissions were reviewed by a committee to determine eligibility for Emeritus Status. Finally, the submissions must be approved by the Board of Trustees. Copies of the resolutions are provided for each individual so that future generations can realize the impact these individuals had on LPO and IVCC.

Additional individuals may be nominated using the following forms. Nominators will need to have information related to the nominee’s career and impact on the campus, but employment dates and service are able to be confirmed by Human Resources. President Emeritus nominations are completed by the President’s Office.
