Traffic Safety (Driver Improvement) Training
Driver Improvement courses are now being offered "live online" using Zoom. What this means is that you can attend the training from home at the date and time designated in the letter you received in the mail.
IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED NOR PAID FOR THE CLASS WITH THE COUNTY NOR RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM IVCC CONFIRMING YOUR ATTENDANCE, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A ZOOM SESSION FOR YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN ACCESS TO THE ZOOM CLASSROOM.
"Live Online" training is OPTIONAL. If you prefer to attend class in person, report to IVCC at your assigned date and time.
Students who wish to attend "live online" will need: an internet connection, email address, computer, tablet or other device to log-in to class. Whatever device you use, make certain it has sound, and a camera, for the camera will need to be on for the entire duration of the class. In short, you need to be seen.
You will need to register within 24-hours of your class by clicking the link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the link to join the meeting.

For class you will need the textbook you received in the mail, and have paper and a writing utensil to complete assignments.
If you are a GDL student, you will need to stay on the webinar after class has ended. CLICK HERE for GDL materials.
It is recommended that you log in to Zoom prior to the class to make sure you can access the class and have a connection. If possible, set your screen name as your first and last name. If for any reason you cannot access the class due to technology, inclement weather, etc., you will have to re-register for the class at a later date.

Traffic Safety Training Course (Overview)
IVCC’s Continuing Education Center offers approved courses to motorists charged with
minor traffic violations in partnership with the LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam County
Circuit Clerks' offices. The four-hour course has been approved by the 10th and 13th
Judicial Circuit judges and utilizes the National Corrective Training Institute’s
curriculum.
LaSalle County
Courses are offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes are held on IVCC’s main campus in Oglesby, IL. Contact the LaSalle County Circuit Clerk’s Traffic Division office at (815) 434-8271 for eligibility, course availability, and registration requirements.
Bureau/Putnam Counties
Courses are offered on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes are held in Princeton, IL. Contact the Bureau County Circuit Clerk’s office at [815] 872-2001 or the Putnam County Circuit Clerk’s office at (815) 925-7016 for eligibility, course availability, and registration requirements.
Graduate to Safety Program | GDL Program
IVCC’s Continuing Education Center is an approved provider of the “Graduate to Safety” driver remedial education course by the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office. If a motorist 21 or under receives notice that they must take this remedial course, they must register through the LaSalle Circuit Clerk’s office at [815] 434-8271. Graduate to Safety courses are offered on Saturday, as available, on IVCC’s main campus in Oglesby, IL.
Missed Your Class? Cannot Attend on Your Scheduled Class Date?
If you miss your scheduled class or need to reschedule your assigned class date, please call the IVCC Continuing Education Center at [815] 224-0427. There is a $10 fee to reschedule a class payable at the time the class is rescheduled.
