IVCC's Traffic Safety Course
IVCC’s Continuing Education Center offers approved courses to motorists charged with minor traffic violations in partnership with the LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam County Circuit Clerks' offices. The four-hour course has been approved by the 10th and 13th Judicial Circuit judges and utilizes the National Corrective Training Institute’s curriculum.
How to Register:
STEP 1: You must first contact the county where your ticket was issued. During this procress, any applicable fees must be paid directly to the county.
STEP 2: After registering with the county, IVCC’s Continuing Education Center will send you your official course information via email. The email will include your class date and time, along with instructions and other important details for completing the program. If you did not provide the county with an email address, you will receive a physical packet in the mail with the same information.
STEP 3: Carefully read the official email or packet. Follow the steps and attend the class as scheduled.
Zoom Information
Your official letter, which was emailed (or mailed if no email address was provided), scheduled you for an in-person OR Zoom version of class. If you were assigned to the Zoom session, you MUST register for your assigned class date in order to receive the Zoom link.
If you were scheduled for an in-person class and would prefer to attend via Zoom, please contact our office. Please note that we cannot guarantee the same class date if a change is requested.
Graduate to Safety (GDL Program)
- Motorists aged 21 or under must register through the LaSalle Circuit Clerk's Office at (815) 434-8271.
- Classes are available on Saturdays, subject to availability, at IVCC's main campus in Oglesby, IL.
- If you are a GDL student, there will be a test you need to take after class. Here is the link for the GDL test: GDL Test

Missed or Need to Reschedule Your Class?
Please note that tardy arrivals will not be permitted entry into the scheduled class and will require rescheduling. If you miss your class or need to reschedule, contact us at (815) 224-0427. A $10 rescheduling fee is required at the time of rescheduling.
