The IVCC Ag Technology and Plant Cultivation Teen Academy offers students a unique
hands-on experience delving into the realms of precision ag technology and plant cultivation
fundamentals. In workshop one, students will immerse themselves in the innovative
world of GPS guidance systems, exploring how precision technology is reshaping modern
agriculture practices. Workshop two will provide a comprehensive introduction to plant
cultivation, where students will create herb gardens while delving into essential
topics such as selecting root media, understanding nutrient requirements, exploring
plant interactions, and discovering the science and benefits of pruning and trimming
plants. Don't miss this opportunity to gain practical skills and insights that can
shape your understanding of agriculture and plant cultivation!
IVCC faculty members Willard Mott and Jennifer Timmers will lead the program.
