Payment, Tuition, and Fees
Deadlines
After the initial payment due date, anyone registering must pay by the Wednesday following registration. Wednesday registrations would be due that day.
Summer 2025 payment is due by 7:00pm on July 30, 2025.
Fall 2025 payment is due by 7:00pm on July 30, 2025.
Financial Aid Alert
Students can check on the financial aid status and award amounts on IVCC Self-Service. If your aid exceeds your tuition, you MUST contact the cashier office by phone or email to defer your tuition. Failure to do so will result in classes being dropped for non-payment.

Payment Options
- Pay Online: via IVCC Self-Service and select the Make A Payment through the Student Finance section.
- Payment in full may be made online via IVCC Self-Service. NOTE: This is a not a payment plan.
- Payment plans are available through TouchNet via IVCC Self-Service.
- If you received financial aid, make course changes, your payment plan automatically update.

Payment Methods for International Students: IVCC provides a streamlined payment option for international students through TransferMate. Pay your tuition and fees in your local currency from nearly any country.
Go to the “Make a Payment” tab, choose TransferMate from the drop-down menu and follow the prompts. Watch this video for a quick demo!

Tuition and Fees
Registration fee: $5 per semester, non-refundable
Tuition for in-district residents: $132.60 per credit hour
Standard fee: $13.40 per credit hour
Out-of-district residents: ** $515.27 per credit hour
Out-of-state residents: ** $565.20 per credit hour

Tuition and fees are subject to change by District 513 Board of Trustees action.
Tuition for Senior Citizens
Students age 65 and over who are district residents may attend credit classes tuition free. All other fees will be assessed at a full rate. Please contact the cashier office to have your tuition adjusted.
** Online Courses
Courses taught 100% online will be charged at the in-district tuition rate for all students regardless of their residency. Please contact the cashier office to have your tuition adjusted.
Residency Status
In District Students and /or Online Courses
A student is considered In-District if they have resided within the boundaries of District 513 for 30 days prior to the start of the term of enrollment. Evidence of residency may be requested at the time of registration and verification is required when mail is returned. The following documents can be used to prove your in-district residency for return mail:
- Utility Bill (Gas, Electric, Water)
- Medical or Insurance Bill
- Bank or credit card statement.
- Property Closing Statement
- Rental contract or Lease Information
- Shelter Residency Documentation
** An item from category must be provided and show the student’s name, address, and dates.
A student who is currently under the legal guardianship of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or have been recently emancipated from the Department and had a placement change into a new community college district shall be exempt from the 30-day requirement if they demonstrate proof of current in-district residency.
Employment in the District
Student employed by a business within District #513 for at least 35 hours per week may have out-of-district charges waived.
- Letter from the employer:
- On a company letterhead, with business name, address, email, phone number,
- Include student name, address, and IVCC student ID number
- Include a statement indicating student’s start date and that the student works a minimum of 35 hours per week.
- Letter must be signed by supervisor, owner, or HR representative
- Recent paystub.
High School Inter-District Agreements
IVCC has partner with our bordering community colleges to develop a High-School Inter-District Agreement for graduates of the following high schools.
- Bureau Valley – District #340
- Fieldcrest – District #6
- Henry-Senachwine – District #5
- Midland – District #7
If you are a tax payer to one of the above high school districts and are classified as an out-of-district resident at IVCC, please provide a copy of your most recent residential property tax statement so a final determination on your residency status can be made. Please note you remain as out of district and will need to contact the cashier office each semester you plan to attend.
- Student must have graduated within one year.
- Student is required to provide an official high school transcript.
- Out-of-district waived for 9 consecutive terms (includes summer).
Students shall not be classified as resident of the district even though they may have met the general 30-day residency provision if they are:
- Federal job corps workers stationed in the district
- Inmates of State or federal correctional/rehabilitation institutions located in the district
- Full-time students attending a postsecondary educational institution in the district who have not demonstrated thorough documentation a verifiable interest in establishing permanent residency
- Students attending under a chargeback or contractual agreement with another community
Students shall be classified as resident of the State without meeting the general 30-day residency providsion if they are:
- Federal job corps workers stationed in Illinois.
- Members of the armed services stationed in Illinois
- Inmates of State correctional/rehabilitation institutions located in Illinois
- Employed full time in Illinois.
Can't Take the Class?
If you are currently registered and no longer plan to attend, please go to IVCC Self-Service, call the registration office at 815-224-0447, or stop by the Registration office to drop your classes and clear your account today.
Drop for Refund/Withdrawal
A drop within the refund period can be done in person at the Records Office or by using IVCC Self-Service. Drop and refund dates vary and are determine by the length of the course. The refund date is listed on the student's registration/billing statement. To receive a refund the course must be dropped by the date indicated.
A withdrawal can be done on line using IVCC Self-Service, in-person at the registration office, or by contacting your instructor. There is no refund when withdrawing from a class.
