Contractor Safety
The Business Training Center (BTC) has partnered with local industry to form the Illinois Valley Contractor Safety Council.
The council is comprised of several companies sharing the responsibility of training
contract employees on safe work practices. Members of the Council include Air Products,
American Nickeloid, Carus Corporation, Epsilyte LLC, and PQ Corporation.
The Council provides an off-site, one stop shop where contractors receive both components of the required training: the basic 4-hour orientation as well as site-specific training for each participating facility. Training can be completed online or you can make arrangements at Illinois Valley Community College, through the BTC.
