Getting Started: Veterans Forms

Thank you for considering IVCC to pursue your education.  Please use the following forms to assist us in helping you with that goal.

Checklist for Enrollment at IVCC – a variety of links and information that will help you get your benefits started and get enrolled at IVCC.

Biographic Information and Veteran’s Responsibility Agreement – complete and submit to enable us to add you into our system.

Enrollment Certification Request – submit along with a copy of your schedule to ensure your enrollment will be certified to the VA. 

VA Certifying Official

The School Certifying Official (SCO) at IVCC, located in the Financial Aid Office, assists veteran and military-connected students with both federal and state military education benefits, including:

  • Completing and submitting required VA and state education forms

  • Certifying enrollment with the VA and Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC)

  • Answering questions about eligibility, timelines, and benefit coordination

NOTE: The application process for military educational benefits can be lengthy. Therefore it is vital that interested applicants begin the process as soon as possible and allow 2-3 months wait-time before seeing the actual results of their efforts

Priority Registration

IVCC offers priority registration for veteran and military-connected students, allowing you to register one month before general registration opens. This early access helps ensure the best possible class schedule to support your academic success.

Tuition Assistance (TA)

 

If you are a reservist or active duty interested in using TA to take classes at IVCC contact your unit's Education Service Officer (ESO) to make sure you are eligible then contact the IVCC Cashier's Office TA representative at (815)-224-0215 to begin the process.  Students using TA benefits are held to the IVCC Return of Title IV Funds policy.

Please note: Failure to complete at least 60 percent of the semester may result in a recalculation of your TA benefits and a portion returned to the program.
