Assessment Committee
The IVCC Assessment Committee oversees assessment of student learning through institutional assessment, program assessment, course assessment, and co-curricular assessment. The Assessment Committee seeks to meet or exceed standards for assessment of student learning as set by accreditation and program review. The Assessment Committee designs, implements, and manages the processes by which teaching and learning are analyzed and improved as a result of assessment. The Assessment Committee is committed to fostering a culture of effective assessment practice at IVCC.
Committee Responsibilities
- Contribute to creating and maintaining learning outcomes for the institution, courses, academic programs, and co-curricular programs
- Collaborate with the IVCC Curriculum Committee on matters related to assessment and curriculum, master course outlines, and program review
- Design and implement processes for assessment
- Design and implement reporting structures for assessment
- Provide faculty and staff development and support for assessment
- Utilize assessment processes and results for accreditation and program review
- Utilize assessment processes and results for continuous improvement in teaching and learning
