In-service is an opportunity for the IVCC college community to gather, listen, learn, and contribute. In-service will be conducted in alignment with IVCC's Core Values; Responsibility, Caring, Honesty, Fairness, and Respect, with intent for making in-service a productive learning experience and meaningful use of in-service time. In-service facilitators reserve the right to moderate or redirect activities and discussions with consideration for IVCC Core Values and the in-service agenda.
7:30 AM Continental Breakfast
Continental breakfast will be in CTC124/125.
8:00 AM All-Staff Presentation - Cultural Centre
The All-Staff Presentation will be live streamed to allow college employees to participate from workspaces while on campus.
All employees may also participate in the 9:30 AM Welcome and the 9:45 AM speaker during the in-service.

The pandemic has had tremendous impacts on the mental health and overall well-being within our campus communities, including faculty/staff. Nathaan Demers, Psy.D. and Annaliese Schroeder, M.S.Ed. from YOU at College will provide an overview of a 6+ month research and development process focused on faculty/staff mental health and well-being both prior to and light of the pandemic.

10:45 AM Politics in the Classroom and the Possibility of Neutrality, Jared Olesen
By the end of this presentation, participants should be able to:
- Frame the history, perceptions, and issues related to political bias in the classroom;
- Discuss the nature of bias in higher education and its relationship to the communities we serve;
- Reflect on the best possible ways to engage responsibly with the political implications of teaching and learning.

Mark Grzybowski, Vice President of Student Services, will provide a review of student rights and responsibilities from the IVCC catalog.
11:30 AM IVCC Academic Freedom Board Policy (page 35, #2.2), AACU Academic Freedom, AAUP Academic Freedom; Dr. Deborah Anderson
Dr. Deborah Anderson will cover academic freedom from IVCC board policy, American Association of Colleges and Universities, and American Association of University Professors.
11:45 AM ASC Announcements; Assessment Update, Dr. Kim Radek Hall; Part-Time Faculty Liaison Invitation to Participate, Dr. Deborah Anderson
College personnel will provide brief updates on the Academic Support Center and Assessment and Dr. Anderson will invite full-time faculty to participate in the Part-Time Faculty Liaison program.
