Brightspace Ad Requests and Requirements

  • There are three spots for Brightspace ads. 
  • Ad placement and timing is determined by LMS administrators.
  • Ads are restricted to specific sizes. 
  • Ad text is limited to a heading and a subheading.
  • Ads can have one hyperlink to a web page providing more information.
  • Ad graphics can be provided or created by the LMS administrator.  Provided graphics must conform to size and style standards.
  • The LMS administration team has the right to change or remove ads at any time.

Size and Style Standards

Square Ad (2 available)

  • Pixels 260x260
  • 72 resolution
  • Font size, minimum 14
  • High contrast; the ad must pass the Brightspace accessibility test

Rectangle Ad (1 available)

  • Pixels 495x260
  • 72 resolution
  • Font size, minimum 14
  • High contrast; the ad must pass the Brightspace accessibility test

Other Ways to Promote Campus Events

  1. Student activity calendar – www.ivcc.edu/stucal - any employee may request editor access to add events, email Patrice Hess, patrice_hess@ivcc.edu to be added
  2. Social media – sent through Community Relations for posting on the college’s channels and/or social media channels moderated by service areas
  3. Campus monitors – monitor managers need image files to display; campus monitors are managed by Community Relations, community_relations@ivcc.edu 
  4. Academic Support Center (ASC) monitors – seek guidance from Stephanie Reeder, stephanie_reeder@ivcc.edu 
  5. Web pages – contact Bob Hunter, bob_hunter@ivcc.edu for help
  6. Everyone email – for the college community; things all faculty and staff (employees) could benefit from knowing; email Community Relations, community_relations@ivcc.edu 
  7. Fliers on bulletin boards – all bulletin board postings need to go through Sandy Beard prior to posting
