Enrollments and Withdrawals in Brightspace

Enrollments in Brightspace

Enrollments are managed in Colleague and updated in Brightspace in real-time. Instructors cannot directly add or drop students from their classes in Brightspace. 

  • Students are enrolled in Brightspace at the point of registration.
  • Students dropped or withdrawn from the course are removed from the Brightspace class list and gradebook.
  • Student work is restored if they are added back to the class after being withdrawn or dropped.

Accessing Withdrawn Student Data

  1. Go to the "Classlist" found on the purple nav bar or in the "Course Admin" list.
  2. Click on "Enrollment Statistics."
  3. Scroll to the end of the page to find the list of "Withdrawals."
  4. Use the drop-down arrow next to the student name to view either "Grades" or "Attendance."

Chosen Name

If the student has a chosen name, that name will be on the roster in Brightspace. The legal name is shown on the roster in Self Service.
