Job Fair Information for Job Seekers
This year, Illinois Valley Community College's office of Career Services is changing things up a bit by trying to set up mini-events for program specific recruitment. We need to work out the details with our program coordinators to maximize the most student participation.
Jobseekers, please continue to search for opportunities on our CCN system. It is an excellent job search resource with tips to make your job search successful.
Remember:
Our goal is to build connections.

Remember: There have been several Job Fairs held through out the IVCC District. These events are a wonderful opportunity to meet potential employers and learn about their company’s opportunities, complete application forms, build a network of contacts and gather information for future job searches. Whether seeking a first interview or exploring new career opportunities, attending any Job Fair provides the chance to make a great first impression. Sooo….. these tips still apply:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make an "all out" effort to meet with every employer that has the potential to hire you - now or after graduation. In order to make that happen you will need to be prepared. Preparation is the key to making a successful presentation at any job or career fair:
- Prior to the Event (PREPARE!)
- Day of the Event (PERFORM!)
- After the Event (PERSIST!)
Still not quite sure what attending a Job Fair entails? Check out our Frequently Asked Questions for Job Seekers (FAQ for Job Seekers) or check to see which employers will be participating at our annual spring Job Fair.
