Purpose:

Provide leadership to ensure the highest quality of instructional programs
Create and sustain an environment that enhances teaching and learning
Continually improve student learning and performance
Provide leadership and management to institutional accreditation and planning processes

Academic Affairs is the central administrative office with responsibility for curriculum and academic policy development, implementation and evaluation. This includes:

career and technical programs and transfer programs
continuing education
adult education
developmental/remedial education
instructional technology
academic fiscal management
evaluation of academic programs
faculty development
assessment of student learning.
