IVCC at 100
The second oldest public community college in the state, IVCC predecessor La Salle-Peru-Oglesby Junior College was established April 24, 1924, by action of the LaSalle-Peru Board of Education and was originally located on the third floor of LaSalle-Peru Township High School. In the almost 100 years since that day, LPO and IVCC have served generations of credit students, continuing education students, GED and adult education students, and has been the only higher education institution in our College district.
Serving the community for 100 years is something to celebrate! We hope you will join us in celebrating, sharing your stories of how LPO and IVCC have changed your life, and becoming part of our new traditions.
As the first IVCC graduate to be the President of IVCC, it is so exciting for me to be able to welcome you to our 100th anniversary celebration! The legacy of both LPO and IVCC has impacted generations in our area and we want to celebrate the many stories! Please check back for events, consider sharing your story or joining our email group, or coming back out to campus to see how much has changed! If you have ideas for additional events, please feel free to email Tracy_Morris@ivcc.edu. This celebration is your celebration!
