Cross Country Team to host new fall race

The Illinois Valley Community College Cross Country Team is hosting an all-new fall race for high school and junior high school-aged runners of all abilities. Runners will face a cross-country-style course on IVCC’s Oglesby campus.

The race will be on Saturday, Nov. 16, beginning near the IVCC track on the south side of campus near the disc golf course. Race day registration/check-in begins at 9 a.m. with the junior high race starting at 10 a.m. and the high school race at 10:45 a.m. The junior high race will be 2 miles, and the high school race will be 5 kilometers.

The cost to run is $20 per runner. All participants will receive a race T-shirt. The top male and female finisher in each race will receive an additional award.
