Parent College 101

IVCC students and parents walking on campus.

Parents and families can play a key role in developing their children's college aspirations, educational successes, and career goals.

Research shows that family engagement is critical to student success in school and college.

Parent College 101 is designed to inform parents and family members, especially first generation college student families, how they can support their child for greater success in college. During the program, you'll learn general information about resources and departments such as financial aid, counseling, and peer tutoring.

For more information about the resources we have on campus for your student, and tips on how to help them soar at IVCC, please visit our parents webpage.
