Testing for Online Classes

How does online testing work?

The instructor determines how tests are administered.  You may be able to use your regular computer software and hardware to take online tests.  Or, you may be required you to use specialized software, a webcam, and a microphone.  The online testing software IVCC uses is called Respondus Lockdown Browser and taking a test in an online class may require the use of a microphone and a webcam, also know as Respondus Monitor.

Be sure to read and understand the testing requirements for each online class.

If you have problems with accessing a test or getting locked out of an online test, be sure to contact your instructor immediately. The IVCC help desk staff may or may not be able to resolve issues related to online testing.  Help desk staff cannot reset a test attempt for a student.
