Student Disability Services and Accommodations

LOGOBy providing equal access and opportunity, the Disability Services Office at Illinois Valley Community College provides a welcoming environment for individuals with disabilities.  As a unit of the Learning Resources Division, the Disability Services Office is the designated office for students with disabilities to provide approved accommodation services.  The Disability Services Office obtains and maintains documentation of disability, certifies eligibility for services, determines reasonable accommodations, and develops plans for providing such accommodations.  This is accomplished in a confidential manner to ensure equal opportunity for participation in all courses, programs and activities offered by IVCC.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Disability Services Office is to serve the needs of qualified students with disabilities by providing equal access to quality education, services and activities.  We help promote college success by meeting one-on-one with students, learning about their disability and its academic impacts.  We are dedicated to the principles of equal opportunity in education and accepts diversity as an affirmation of individual identity within a welcoming community.
