Cannabis Dispensary Agent/Patient Care Specialist Certification Course
The Patient Care Specialist Certification will prepare individuals with the necessary information and skills to be effective in both medical and recreational cannabis markets. This will not limit individuals to only dispensary settings as this information can be carried over to other parts of the industry. This certification will allow students to speak and educate others confidently with the correct information. We will examine detailed information on the cannabis plant and how it can be used in a medicinal facet. The certification will also give students an overview of Illinois State laws regarding Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulations (IDFPR) and how they can be implemented within a dispensary or retail setting. With the knowledge gained in this course, students will have the ability to move onto gaining state licensure and be better equipped to work in the cannabis industry. Those looking to work within the cannabis market must be 21 years of age or older, and must be able to pass a criminal background check.
